Is anyone here currently using a limited palette? (6 or less colors plus white). I’d like to hear if you’ve pared down from a larger palette of colors, any advantages or limitations you’ve encountered, any comments.
I’m recently experimenting with a 4-color palette: a medium yellow, Naphthol Red Medium, Ultramarine Blue or Quiller Violet (a lovely deep blue-violet), and any green or turquoise. I’m intrigued by the symmetrical simplicity and each of the 4 colors having a direct mixing complement. I’m still learning to use this unusual palette – I will share my thoughts about it later.
