A fantastic view Johnnie, although that is a private photograph and you would need to contact the photographer for permission to use it.
Street View camera pictures may be used, see post #1.

I deleted it so you don’t get into trouble..
That view tho was taken for the Google camera that they used on top of the Niagara Tower with restaurant on top

January 13, 2018 at 10:27 am #525846When the photo has the photographer’s name top left you have to contact the photographer for permission before you use it. I have been successful in the past, but I couldn’t find the email of the photographer on this occasion.

We must leave our mark on this worldJanuary 14, 2018 at 2:02 am #526014Hi Doug. I am curious, isn’t there hectic perspective distortion from the G Map cameras?
As long as there is light, I will paint it.
January 14, 2018 at 2:32 am #525847Yes, the Streetview pictures are pasted together from multiple wide angle cameras and there can be lots of distortion, particularly for angle shots. I find zooming in reduces the distortion for distant views.

We must leave our mark on this worldJanuary 21, 2018 at 9:19 am #525904Here is my home town, Gelnhausen, Germany. I hope my skills get good enough to paint this entire village someday.

Everything is possible, post yours in digital showcase tomorrow. I would honestly be delighted to see..
February 2, 2018 at 9:58 am #525849This is a remarkable scene, oil pumps as far as the eye can see.
I was led to the place reading ”A Kingdon from Dust” about Stewart Resnick a billionaire “farmer” who monopolises the water resources of large parts of southern California and grows Pomegranates, Almonds and pistachio nuts in huge tracts of Kern County and produces POM.

February 3, 2018 at 3:05 am #525850I have been wanting to paint a nodding donkey and this is the first time I have come across an oilfield. I like painting mechaical things.

We must leave our mark on this worldMarch 4, 2018 at 4:36 am #525851Watching a new urban sketcher Róisín Curé I thought I would look for her painting locations in the south-west tip of Ireland.
A wonderful place to explore.

We must leave our mark on this worldMarch 24, 2018 at 5:44 pm #526020Hi, I didn’t read all 16 pages so I’m sorry if this has already been posted. But Google has captured nearly all of Venice for Streetview. On foot & by boat! I was lucky enough to go in person a couple years ago, but I spent hours exploring on Streetview first.
March 25, 2018 at 2:52 am #525895Thanks, a link to the Venice page you have seen would be interesting.
(touch the url and go to edit and tick copy and then paste here if so inclined)March 25, 2018 at 3:01 am #525852Yes, Google has extensive Street View on Google maps, you can explore all the canals and passageways if you zoom into Venice as posted earlier.

We must leave our mark on this worldMay 9, 2018 at 6:10 am #525853Found this after reading a holiday brochure. The village tumbles down the cliff into the River Lot.
