JaefYes, that’s for sure. I was really pleased with the works I did. I sold several of them on ebay. My surgery nearly got changed, too. Take some work with you to do! It certainly saved me from insanity. (I think!)
Regards,
JillianBTW, this is one I’ve done tonight. Watercolor. 2.5 x 2″ It’s in the wc forum gallery.

Thanks. The people I’ve shown it to liked it a lot, also.
The one you’ve done is a cutie! You should be well pleased with it.

July 18, 2004 at 12:59 pm #1026115OK. This is Paul’s site Jaef.

click on ‘mini art’ – he has photos of the work with a needle next to them.
Really small. And in coloured pencil.

July 18, 2004 at 1:02 pm #1026116I took a bit more time with this last watercolour, by the way.
It warranted it. I was fairly sure it would come out well.
And I am well pleased. I could have also spent more time and effort with it, but wasn’t willing to. I don’t think I will until prices go up or I enter a competition. I don’t consider this of competition ‘standard’.

When I go to the hospital, I will bring just pencil and paper. More simple that way. Here is a big piece in just three pencils. 2h, 4b and 8b. Hope the pic shows up. It might be too large. As to Pauls work, Great work and a very busy web!!! Lots of work.
This is Sunday and after services, I am busy painting. Waterbased oil. When I get the chance (as I said, I will post the piece. miniature)
Have a great week!!

I think that you will get more attention over in one of the subject and medium specific forums. I suggest that you start a poll, and that will give you a count of how many are interested. I do know that there are several miniature artists on the site:)I know more than a couple under 5′ 2″….

-Don't just learn the tricks of the trade.> Learn the trade.-July 19, 2004 at 8:28 pm #1026303Wow. What great posts since I last looked.
Jillian, Asterea, Lorijo, Minibrush and Jaef your paintings are all wonderful and inspiring.
Jet, lol – but seriously, don’t digital artists produce miniature paintings sometimes? How about encouraging those that do to vote in favour of a miniature forum?
Cheers,
Geoff

So, Jet, is the criteria 5’2″ or under? If so, that would make me a
miniature miniature artist. :rolleyes:numbat, thanks again.
and to all the new paintings posted…aren’t they wonderful! I just love seeing everyone’s work.
jaef, good luck to you on your surgery. I hope you’re not off your feet too long. My better half just got his cast off. Oh, and I got a couple more pics of the Smithsonian show. My sis in-law came for a visit from DC and she took the exhibit in. I’ll email them to you tomorrow.
I admire those of you who can work on their art after surgeries. I found I could barely remember my name, couldn’t even concentrate on the TV.
Take care all, and happy painting!

I can hardly wait to see the pics!!
Thanks!Going flyfishing Friday. Near Mt. Hood. The lake you see here is near to the lake that I will go to. Have been fishing all around the Mountain this year. Going to start painting miniatures.
Surgery is the 6th of August so I better enjoy it while I can.
