Certainly a Wild day somewhere. Looks like you had fun.
Going by your biography we seem to have lived for a time in the same places. I was in the Navy (Fleet Air Arm) we had Air stations at all those locations.
my father was in the RAF – in Malta I went to the navy school at Tal Handaq as did all the army/navy/airforce kids plus a few fee paying English residents
We were in Cornwall for the longest time I was aged 3-10 and it always feels like going home The Jesuits say ‘give me a boy til he’s 7 and I’ll give you the man’ – neither male nor catholic but I think there is some truth in it
I thought it would be something like that. In Cornwall RAF had StMawgan. RN had Culdrose. The Moray Firth bit would be. Kinloss and Lossiemouth I was at both RN bases in the 1960’s. Gib and Malta lots of visits while on Carriers
Jim
Yep we were at St Eval and St Mawgan in Cornwall – which meant we didn’t move house – and Kinloss – oh and Giib from 18months to 3. Small world and lots of criss crossing! Some lovely places.
