There are so many I enjoy, but at the top has to be Van Gogh, followed by Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso. The first two communicate freedom, emotion and movement. Picasso opens up the mind to try to understand meaning in the paintings beyond the immediate feelings to a restless inner struggle with who we are or who others are made up of. Do we get to include ourselves? Because I very much enjoy my own painting, otherwise I would stop.
