This Christmas I bought the Intuos 5, so I wanted to make a simple drawing to check. Previously I had Intuos 3, and I can see a good improvement.
I had some fun drawing this cat, just a tonal drawing.
I used as usual Photoshop and Wacom Intuos 5.
Painted in one layer and this time I used the standard round brush with low opacity (50% or lower)
hope you liked to see the process, exactly the same I use for drawing or oil painting.
Great job, I love the softness of the fur and I do love to see the process.
One question though…. the last of the small ones looks like it has more color. Is that the final, or the largest one. I like the subtle color in the background, the eyes and around the nose and mouth.
thank you Eliane,
the steps above are all a tonal study in monochrome except the last one.
I did not comment before because for me the color layer is not interesting, it is just one layer of color on top at the end, it took only five minutes to do after the last stage of the monochrome drawing..
here I post it the color version: only a bit of green on the eyes and neutral brown to balance in the background
