For those of you who own a smartphone, what brand is it? Are you satisfied with this brand? Do you intend to switch to another brand in the future or will you remain loyal to this one? Any other thoughts you’d like to share about your smartphone?
Just a fun thread for the gadget enthusiasts.

https://www.lucianhodoboc.comFebruary 11, 2022 at 1:31 am #1457812Mine is a Redmi Note 9 128 GB dual SIM + memory card, which is Android 11 and is based on a Xiaomi operating system and was unlocked. It has just updated to MUI12.5.3. Cost £130 from Gearbest.
It does everything I need to do.

We must leave our mark on this worldFebruary 11, 2022 at 8:57 am #1457861Samsung Galaxy S8+. Had an Iphone 3G when it first came out but was disappointed with it because of all the proprietary nonsense. Have had Galaxies ever since, so am probably satisfied with them.
I use it more as a camera than anything else. Paint is actually starting to wear off on the bottom edge, and I’ve gone through 2 Otterboxes with it.
I’m considering switching to, maybe, a Google Pixel phone, but I need a large screen.
Edit 3/12/22: My phone is, literally, falling apart! A lower corner of the back is coming off and when pressed back in place it does not stay up. We have pre-ordered the Galaxy S22 Ultra because of screen size. Been an expensive month for tech stuff. Might have to cut back on paint, paper, and canvas. ?
Skill is nothing more than talent practiced relentlessly.

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 30, 2023 at 1:50 am #1518179As an update to my earlier comment here. I am now the owner of an iPhone12. I don’t buy new, partly to do with cost but mostly to stop old-but-still very serviceable phones going to landfill.
The 12 is the newest phone I’ve owned and has what are for me, new features. Can some iPhone whiz here tell me what is the point of that Live Photo feature? Totally useless. Totally pointless. Totally irritating. Why and under what possible circumstances would I want a still photo to jump for half a second?
PLEASE how do I make these dreadful yellow things go away? OMG there's even more of the awful things now.
