12×12 acrylics on stretched canvas done yesterday as part of a workshop using that medium; instructor furnished the ref and the how-to.  She is Crystal Goodman, renown muralist, who lives in San Angelo, about 80 miles south of us.  The morning part was spent learning how to mix greens rather than use tube greens.  She takes part in the world famous plein air event each fall there where people come from all over the planet to paint outside then sell their works for thousands

    C&C welcome :wink2:

This is wonderful, Kay!  It sounds like a really fun, informative class!  I’m so glad you’ve shared this here with us.  One of my favorite “moments” in this painting is the barbed wire.  Nice visual detail, and I like how it’s a bit curved and bent – real barbed wire rarely stays perfectly straight for long.  I also love those lively pops of reds and yellows.  This is a beautiful painting!

Very captivating composition.  Love the colors and subject.  Greens can be tough, good job.

Thanks Jo and Sparticus! I had a several hour class on mixing greens in acrylics before ever starting this one.
