WIP – DIPTYCH – I think this is done but I’m going to set it in a corner of the room and glance at it for a while when I walk in. Had lots of fun with this one – it was a challenge!

Arizona Badlands – Diptych – 18×48 on 225lb linen paper, Chroma Interactive acrylics applied with palette knife in a loose expressionistic style with semi abstract passages.

Kiss the Clouds: oh Richard – this is sooooo amazing! You are a poet and your brush your words – I was just so blown away when I saw this one – all I could do was stare at it open mouthed – this is so beyond good, it’s masterful! Drop-dead gorgeous painting!

Thanks CaliAnn – appreciated. My mind had trouble concentrating today – I’m sure due to the concussion I suffered a while back so I had to do a semi abstract piece as my mind was not having anything to do with my normal style.

Glad you liked it -I liked it after it was done but almost tossed it about half way thru the painting process – :>))

Hi Richard, really am impressed with your abstract painting. I am wondering how long it took you to paint it as there are a few colours going on here. This has to be my new favourite of yours! I like the way I am able to use my imagination to find things within the painting. One minute I see sea and a sunset, the other a sandy beach and so it goes on.

This is a scene within Monument Valley, on the Navajo Nation sacred land – only to be seen on a guided tour by an authorized Navajo guide.
