Thanks everyone for joining or at least looking.
Here is my lighthouse, first the sketch, then at the two hour mark. 9″ x 12″ watercolor on Arches 140 Lb, mix of M Graham, W&N and artist loft paints. First time using Arches paper. Nice to work on it though it didn’t seem to hold up as well to erasing during the sketch phase as the Strathmore did, but definitely more fun to paint on.
Happy with the lighthouse, satisfied with the lower part, but not sure what to do with the cliff.

April 7, 2018 at 11:09 pm #600972Lovely, keep us posted if you go further, it looks great as is. I find you have to have a fairly delicate hand when erasing Arches; a kneaded eraser helps.
