So, I am attending a 3-day plein air event later this week, and used my oil pigment sticks for this to see if I could complete a decent landscape in 2 hours or less, suitable for display/sale. The answer is, no, not yet. My studio oil paintings are 90% pigment sticks but I paint them in stages, leaving them to harden for a few days in between. This is “in the spirit of WDE”, 8×8 on Terraskin, less than 2 hours, got too wet to continue,so sticking with my oil pastels in the PA event.
Thanks for hosting, Rousay! I had to leave out your lovely daughter- she wouldn’t have fared well with oil sticks!
Wendy C&C always welcome
