Today I got out my paints for the first time in a very long time.  Some of the paints are falling out of their little plastic pans.  I guess they shrink when they don’t get wet for a long period of time.  How do you get the little  devils to stay in their plastic pans when they’re not in use.  I tried rewetting some but doesn’t seem to be helping.

BTW, I have been experiencing a lot of personal issues with loved ones who aren’t well.  The stress is unimaginable and I was snacking too much and enjoying wine too much in order to deal with how much I’m hurting.  When I pulled out my paints today, I noticed immediately that my pulse rate was going down and I was feeling a little more at peace.  Everyone keeps saying that I have to take care of myself or I won’t be able to take care of my loved ones.  This  is how I’ll be coping.  Thanks for reading.

I wouldn’t want to add anything to the pan that I don’t want in the paint, so I just let them rattle around in there. (I’ve found especially with Winsor & Newton pans that even newly purchased watercolors can fall out of the pan.) Eventually with use they start to stick again.
Perhaps a little tinfoil cap on the pan if you are traveling with the pans?
