This old drawing of the ungainly Russian Tupolev ANT-25 aircraft with a 112 foot wingspan first flew in 1933. Built to go the distance it could remain in the air for 75 hours and cover up to 8000 miles. It held several records at the time.
I had to look that one up ,it definitely doesn’t join the if it looks right it’ll fly right category .A nice piece of work on what i have to say is a strange looking aircraft
Thanks Trumper, budigart, Neil for taking a look. It was indeed a strange looking aircraft. Tupolev and the other designers were put in jail for espionage, some being executed. Russia was a dangerous place to live.
This was another drawing of the Tupolev ANT-25 I did. It was supposed to look like what’s called orange crate art. Those were the paper advertising stickers applied to the boxes of exported fruit in the day.
