I have paintings on canvas and need to place my business card and a plastic sleeve with a certificate of authenticity on the back of my canvas but the tape I am using does not stick and it keeps falling off. I am using artist tape, I tried scotch tape. I am at a loss. Any help is greatly appricated.

Why not just staple it to the stretcher?

If it’s a stretched canvas, you could staple such info to wood stretcher bars on the back.  Otherwise check Amazon for this tape:  “EZlifego Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty”.     I would paint a square of white glue or even some acrylic medium about 1″ in size, let it dry.  This will create a smoother surface to put the tape on.  The porous texture of the canvas is probably your problem.

Unless tape or adhesive is archival is will damage the canvas without some type of barrier like acrylic gesso.  Staple to the stretcher is your best answer.

Thanks all I used the staple method.
