            I love the movement you have created in this piece with your brushstrokes.  It is like the trees are blowing in the wind.

                Thank you, Wes. There was indeed a wind blowing, but from my set up point I was quite well sheltered.

                        The rocks are hard, the water is flowing and the trees are life like as they reach the sky.  That is a lot of information in a 2 hour work.  A very believable plein air.  Gary

                            Thanks, Gary! I like your breakdown of the composition in terms of brush work. It hadn’t occurred to me to think like that whilst doing it. I was desperately trying to get it done and had to also deal with a couple of people who wanted to chat. Thanks again.

                                                        Nice use of desaturated greens and earth tones, and I like how the trees feel like they are dancing in the wind!
