I disagree with Doug (sorry, Doug! ? ) in that I think the reflections makes this a successful work by giving the swirls a place to stand.
If it was my image, I think I’d delete the blur in the foreground. We often blur things as they recede, but in this piece the saturation and brightness of the swirls demand sharpness from front to back. But, being digital, you can experiment to see which way you prefer without destroying the original.
Skill is nothing more than talent practiced relentlessly.
