I decided that I would start the Sunday daily now because I will be leaving early in the morning to go to my daughter’s house to help her plant some 50 or so Cana Bulbs around her back and front yard.
Here is a little something that is on the artistic/abstract side of things. The original was a lead glass creation that hung in a art museum in Sarasota, Florida. It was too plain to post as shot, so I turned it into something more attractive, at least I hope so.
Later in the day I will start the new challenges. IN CASE YOU HAVE SOME IDEAS YOU WANT ME TO USE, PLEASE SEND ME A PM SOON.
Blessings to all. Enjoy your Sunday .

I went to town with the new fisheye.
I stood at 7 paces (say 21ft) from this mural (above) which is well over 150 feet long.
I have nothing but the utmost admiration for the artist’s who designed and executed these works on such a grand scale

The camera kneads the dough, PP bakes the bread - GreenhillMay 26, 2019 at 8:44 am #832286Oh dear me, these are awesome. I agree with you, I admire, respect and am in awe of the talent that these artist have. It’s wonderful that we have places where we can see their art on the grand scale in the open air rather than in some museum that you visit once in a lifetime. It also works for the community whose aging brick buildings have become an eye sore. Everybody is a winner.
I have to admit, I like the effect of the murals taken with the fish eye more than the ones taken with a normal flat no distorted edge lens. The fish eye adds an artistic element that I am really learning to appreciate and like.
Time to put my gardening hat and gloves on and get over to my daughters.
Thanks, Mark. What wonderful art to add to our daily.See you all later.

Thanks Lorell, but be careful, I won’t be responsible for you running out to buy an expensive fisheye (not to mention a new camera) without first giving it some careful thought ! …

Mark, I am very impressed with the artistic talent; that of both the painters and the photographer.
I processed more of the shots I took yesterday of the bouquet my wife took to San Diego to place at her father’s memorial.

Edited to add a shot of the Ketchup & Mustard rose taken this morning…

May 26, 2019 at 4:23 pm #832293Exquisite unblemished blooms so well captured, Dave. I’m sure you will have taken a number of shots of your wife’s tribute to her father. As time goes by, I can appreciate how much your pictures will mean to you both.

The camera kneads the dough, PP bakes the bread - GreenhillMay 26, 2019 at 5:36 pm #832294Lorell, coupla months back on my Benalla Camera Club’s picnic thread, you asked what the strange looking structure was about.
I explained that it was a sculpture and that I’d take a close up of it for you when I was next in town, so here it is, once again seen by the fisheye.

The camera kneads the dough, PP bakes the bread - GreenhillMay 26, 2019 at 8:24 pm #832287Mark, that is a very unusual looking structure. Thanks for taking the time to take the photo and post it here in the daily. I am trying to determine what it reminds me of or what it is suppose to represent. I have come up empty.
Is it a relatively old or new piece of art work? It must have a lot of symbolism behind it, right? :confused:Photography is the art of observation. It has little to to with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. Elliott Erwitt

Nikon D5100May 26, 2019 at 8:31 pm #832288I PM’ed Natalie today and she wrote back with a laundry list of things that she has been up to. My head was spinning by the time I finished reading every task that she had to complete. She works so hard and so long each day. I just don’t know how she does it and keep such a positive attitude.
I told her to leave her camera in the closet hoping that she’ll use what little spare time she has to put her feet up and relax. I was happy to hear that she is healthy and happy just being a good mom, grandma, neighbor and business woman. The gal wears lots of hats! And since she is so good at all of them, she is kept busy from morning to night.
I told her that we missed her and folks were asking about her.
It is comforting how the folks here in WC care and are concerned about one another, something that makes WC so unique and special .LORELL

Well I’m glad that at least someone sees this ‘thing’ the way I do. I cannot believe what the local council were thinking to have authorised its construction.MY FLICKR

BTW, thanks for your kind words about my floral shots.
Lorell, thank you for the update about Natalie.
May 27, 2019 at 8:59 am #832297Dave, well, like any work of art one either loves it or hates it. Just depends upon individual taste. To me it’s just spooky.
