As I happen to live directly beneath the glide path of aircraft landing at Wang’ airfield
I at least get to hear, if not see every plane that lands here, and if the pitch of the engine is unusual,
I may dash outside to catch a glimpse of what type airplane it is, and hope that the camera’s last setting is right.
I googled its registration which reveals that it is a Beechcraft 350C Super King Air, possibly bringing campaigning pollies to town.

Good job, Mark……Lots of clear details! I’m not sure I would want to live under the path of all those planes, but for a while it would be interesting to watch…..
Well, I can breath a sigh of relief! I was on-call for 3 days for my BIL’s poultry houses, and of course, my own. 10 poultry houses, 320,000 chickens!!! I was keeping my fingers crossed that nothing out of the ordinar happened, cause it’s hard to get someone to come fix a feedline or a computer controller on a weekend. My BIL was attending his daughter’s graduation from medical school. She will now do her residency in North Carolina.

            Good morning Mark and Natalie.

Mark, thanks for starting the daily. I agree with Natalie, I don’t I would enjoy the roar of those planes going overhead. Your so close to the airport that the landing gear is down. You did catch a nice crisp photo, however, thanks for starting the daily with it.

            Natalie,
I remember when I was working and both the principal and vice principal were going to be out of the building for a half a day. We had 2 thousand student at the time and as head counselor I was in next in charge. I didn’t like that assignment at all even though it was just a matter of a few hours. I can’t imagine the stress you felt. I am glad that all went smoothly at your BIL’S farm. Did you have to spend the days sleeping at their house?

Going to my Aunt’s apartment this morning to give her a perm. Ladies always feel better after they get their hair done.

Can you do my hair, too??? I don’t want a perm, just keep toying with the idea that I should cut it. I usually have short hair, but have let it go….it’s now long enough for a 5 inch ponytail. I have found I can get up in the am, put it in a ponytail and go to work. It’s also cooler working with it up like that. If I have short hair, it’s fine and wavy, and sticks up all over in the am, and I have to put in a couple rollers and blow heat on it before I can even leave my bedroom!! So…..I have taken the easy way out….

My BIL lives only 1/4 mile down the road….I could not stay over there as I also have chickens in my houses, too. I would have gotten an alarm call if something like ventilation went bad or if feedling ran longer than an hour, etc….and it only takes me 10 minutes to pop over there. I had to go in and look around several times a day to make sure all was running smoothly…..there were two young men that came every morning to walk through his houses and pick up any chickens that may have died overnight…..but they do not understand about the computer system, that was my job. Yes, with that many chickens, some will die overnight….hopefully not many unless illness moves in, that is what we DO NOT want.

Mark, cool belly shot! We don’t get to see that view often, but you sure do! I am with the ladies, not my cup o’ tea to live on the flight path.

Natalie, 320,000 chicks? Wow! We have an insatiable appetite for chicken in this country. I was grocery shopping Saturday and bought some chicken breasts. Some were big as a small turkey breast. The package said no hormones or steroids. I don’t understand how they can get that big.

                    Hi, Lorell!

Nat’, Lorell, Rich, As I love airplanes I their roar doesn’t bother me one bit. that said, as this is a rural town it’s not as if they are flying over my place continuously.
There’s the mail plane flies in once a day and maybe one or two other twin engine turbo props that enter the glide path over my place, three miles to touch down.

Like Natalie said, good action shots. I think it helped that you can take many frames per second. Your skiers are really clear considering how fast they are moving. I can’t believe that they are skiing in a lake with all of those stumps in the background.

Lorell, Since my previous visit to Mulwala, there were tree stumps scattered all over the lake that by some means have been cleared to make it suitable and safe for water sports.
This was shot in January, 2014. A road bridge crosses the lake from the State of Victoria into New South Wales at the southern end – sort of like entering Canada from the USA if you will! :D

                                                Wikipedia,
Lake Mulwala, a man–made reservoir created through the construction of the Yarrawonga Weir across the Murray River, is located between Bundalong and Yarrawonga in Hume region
of Victoria and Mulwala in the Riverina region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The weir was constructed in 1939 to provide water for irrigation of the surrounding district.
The weir also serves as a crossing of the Murray between the two towns; in addition to the crossing located via the Mulwala Bridge. The road bridge across the lake was built before the lake was filled,
commenced in 1917 and completed in 1924. It replaced an earlier wooden bridge built in 1889-1891. The bridge was started from both ends, each by the respective state government.
Unfortunately, they didn’t coordinate their efforts, and the bridge has a dip and a bend in the middle to make the two ends meet. The 2 images above, (posts #9, #10) were shot from about 300 metres.

I think I have heard about that there is some sort of machine that can go under water and just “CHOMP OFF” the tree stumps.

Mark, they were one of the best concerts we had this year. I am on the Board of the Concert Association and we bring 5 concerts to town for a cost of $55 for all five. We have about 500 members.

Your water skiing looks dangerous. If one fell off the following boat better get out of the way quick. Maybe the photo shows fore-shortening due to telephoto lens effect.

I did a Google search of that bridge with the dip in it, very interesting!
