it is Friday and I have putzing around here all morning getting ready for my daughter to arrive and have a short visit with us. The beds are changed, the linens are being washed, bathrooms are spic and span…my husband told me that I was nesting! I bought the two of us tickets to go see a play put on by the locals. I hope I can take photos because Elvis is suppose to make a visit to the performance. I thought he was dead  It should be a hoot and a lot of fun. It is a murder mystery dinner show and they have an cash bar. What more could you want.

I am not a drinker and just recently switched over from Pepsi to Coke. Back in the day…

I, too, have been cleaning. I am decluttering …..taking stuff to dump. All these years in this house, and I have accumulated so much junk. Going to call auction house and sell 3 pieces of furniture that I do not want anymore, but up in the attic I have old books and papers and the silverfish have done their work, so off to the dump…..plus went through my closets and packed up many bags of clothes for goodwill. Feels good. I love your old coke ice box?? Is that a bottle opener? I never could stand Coke…..used to like pepsi but ten years ago I switched to water….well coffee and water. Sometimes I drink tea. But soda’s don’t impress me anymore. Yes! (still did not lose any weight when I quit. So much for that. ) Well, back to work I go!! Have a great weekend, everyone!!

Here are some middle school girls, one is my GD…..to think they could be victims of a shooting is blowing my mind. WHAT is wrong in this world that kids go into a school and SHOOT other kids and teachers? We need change, we need it now. In my GD’s middle school, there have been fights breaking out. These kids are only 11 to14 years of age!!!!!! So very sad and frightening. :( :crying:

What a fun shot. Looks l like they all got dressed up and went out some place special. They look like best friends and so happy.

The hard thing for me to grasp is the mental attitude that this is something that one would even think of doing. In our country, we are losing respect for so many things and now for the ultimate gift, life.

I don’t know how we can protect the kids in schools. Home schooling seems more and more like a safe alternative. Parents and grandparents have to be so scared for the safety of their children, especially after Wednesday’s massacre.

Yes indeed Nat’ and Lorell, who now in the US would want to become a teacher?
Perhaps it’s time that the US Congress amended the Second Amendment.
