Hello I’ve been reading wet canvas discussions for a long time and have learned a lot about painting and oil paint and I finally made an account. What is the shelf life of Vasari and Michael Harding oil paint? I know they try to keep their formulas pretty pure. How do their Cobalt paints hold up in the tubes? I’m hoping someone with a long time of experience with these paints can answer these question. Also curious of the shelf life of Old Hollands Cobalt based paints? I paint very slowly and with thin layers and a 40ml tube of paint lasts me many (10+) years. Looking to invest in some really top quality paint. I appreciate any info at all.

        Thank you!

L don’t know about those brands. I found some old Grumbacher oils, that are 40 years old, and they work fine. I use only Gamblin now.

I can only try to paint, What the lord created.
