        Here is my effort:

        Bockingford extra rough 140 lb., W & N watercolour paint, 7 X 4 inches

        David

Now that’s what I call a painting. A great setting David, they wouldn’t last long in our house :) Love the shine on the black liquorice, they are shiny.

        Renata,
Your all sorts look good enough to eat…wish I could. ;)

David, Lovely addition to the basic pile of licorice.

            Doug….very cool subject and rendition!
            Renata… beautifully done!
Cyntada (sorry if I spelled your name wrong it was on the previous page so I couldn’t look it back up) I too love horehounds but not licorice.
David…love your doiley and plate addition. Very crisp and clean.
I’m going to have to give this one a go.

To make the painting simpler I would eat all but one of the sweets (candies)

Tried out the challenge, I usually work more with cartoon type drawings, so going more realistic was a bit of a challenge.

I think you did a great job, especially on the textured pink sweet.

Here is my take of the challenge. 8 x 10 inches/ Painted on tissue paper and mounted (ironed) on to the front surface of photo paper for home inkjet printers. The yellow one at the bottom ended up to dark. I tried to lighten it with Chinese White……. got carried away and added more here and there:(

                            #1170760

I see you had fun there Athena, but nevertheless the result is excellent.

Thank you Doug:) Yes it was fun. It looked all wrinkled up before the mounting but once done…..all smooth ;)
……….. keep those delicious sweeties coming everybody…….

Doug: Lovely vibrant colors……especially the yummy yellow ones!
Renata: Very nice! Like your violet choice of color.
TheOneBlueGecko: Love how you painted the little pink dots!

Oooh – challenge time again. I’ve always wanted to do one of these sweetie pictures. Very nice clean entries guys! And you’ve managed to do those bobbly bits better than I could. I might go back and try those again.
