You have such an excellent model, she really is focused on so all the important elements of her body, toes, hands, head tilt, etc., that make her a believable fairy figure. The reflection of her foot in the river makes this quite a realistic composition. You blended the reflection using the perfect mode. Great background and good exposure and color also.I always get excited when I see that you have posted something. I never know what to expect but know that I won’t be disappointed.

This lady is one of my most favourite models, and she is a dream to work with. I am still playing with just photos for now, but next year, you will see her (often I hope) depicted in oil on canvas. Can’t wait!

I am totally stumped how you got that pose. I am assuming you used a levitation technique and even thought she might be reclining on a support that was in the middle of her back…BUT…the flow of her hair is going in the wrong direction if she were resting on her back. I am just curious.Photography is the art of observation. It has little to to with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. Elliott Erwitt

Nikon D5100June 28, 2018 at 4:46 am #647815Before a studio shoot with my muse, I outline several imagined pencil poses into my sketch pad. Then, I break these poses down into their component parts. In this instance, H. jumped, repeatedly, up into the air as I tried to press my shutter at the best moment, just to capture her leg section. Then she posed again without jumping. Once I have all my shots, I become a little like Victor Frankenstein, dissecting, distorting, healing and reassembling her body parts, to create my ‘ideal’.

As far as technique goes, I perhaps should also add, that her little dress is pure fiction that I quickly drew with a Ugee tablet and stylus on to a top layer, and the wings I drew (and blurred) on to a lower layer. The end goal is to paint a picture in oil, but with all this new tech. artists may now ‘see’ what their intended painting could end up looking like, long before they commit to getting their paints out. I am even now, mentally, altering her outfit so that it has more details and ‘harmonious flow’ to its outlines. When I’m happy with all, then I shall paint.
