June 18, 2012 at 1:57 pm #519710Doug,
I’m not sure if this is a bug or a new ‘feature’ of WC, but is there any reason that the all of the links in the ‘Articles, Tips, and Techniques’ section are dead links?
June 18, 2012 at 2:03 pm #519437Which forum is this?

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 18, 2012 at 3:32 pm #519711Doug,
It’s the lower middle section on the WC homepage, with articles and tips from Artist’s Magazine. On Firefox, I get a blank page, and on Opera I get the following error message:
The website does not permit its content to be displayed in a frame. It must be displayed in a separate window.I’m guessing it’s a new feature
June 18, 2012 at 3:52 pm #519438Hmm, I rarely visit the Home page. It is merely a link to the Watercolor Artisi Magazine Profile page HERE.
It isn’t really part of wetcanvas, more an advertising feature.

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 23, 2012 at 5:43 am #519608as of today (23rd june) i’ve been getting a warning from my anti-virus that there is MALWARE on wetcanvas.
am i the only one??June 23, 2012 at 7:05 am #519439It appears to be an Avast problem, I get no message from AVG.
We have had three reports so far.
To be on the safe side the F+W admin has been notified.

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 23, 2012 at 7:16 am #519609ok thanks
oftentimes it is an ad that is to blame.June 23, 2012 at 11:15 am #519598I have the same problem and went to the Avast forum.Someone had already been there and sent WC a “false positive” report.
I have all their updates, cleared cookies etc and it’s still happening, whichever browser I use.One comment I found on that forum, presumably from Avast staff:
“The problem is not with avast blocking this site. The detection is genuine. .
The problem is with the webmaster of the site and/or the hoster of that domain for not cleansing the site from malcode that avast detects.
Furthermore the vbulletin software on that site was not updated leaving it open to vulnerablities that could lead to malcode injections.
So you should not try to circumvent an appropriate avast blocking of a site, but rather inform the webmaster of that site he has serious security issues.”
Funny is that we get a lot of reactions like this. Avast detects malcode on a site and then users ask: “What can avast do about this?”. Not a lot.Wendy C&C always welcome
Everybody likes feedback! Please remember to comment on others' threads, even if it's just a "nice work" post.
June 23, 2012 at 11:37 am #519610so if the detection is real, and avast blocks it for those who use avast…i would imagine that those whose anti-virus does NOT warn and block, are in danger or being infected.
June 23, 2012 at 12:42 pm #519440Thanks for that, I’ll report it to F+W.

We must leave our mark on this worldJuly 19, 2012 at 2:32 am #519623I am wondering if any of you had problems using Google Crome as web browser on WC? I had some problems logging in to WC, and the problem with uploading images still comes and goes?

July 19, 2012 at 2:38 am #519441I use chrome from time to time with no problems. Let’s test the uploader with Chrome:
No problems but I notice the default file type in the uploader box is .gif so you have to change it to .jpg to find your pictures.
