recent egg tempera work

I recently volunteered to paint a violin to raise funds for children’s strings by the Roanoke (Virginia) Symphony Orchestra. My theme is Anne Spencer, the wonderful Lynchburg Harlem Renaissance poet. I covered the violin with several coats of Natural Pigments “Tempera Ground” and here are some photos to see how it turned out.
