September’s Plant Parade.Summer is almost over and Autumn nearly with us: the plants are preparing for their next year’s survival and giving us seedpods and berries galore!
I have a few images from my own garden to give you some idea and Carol and Marianne have also added images but if you can work from life please do so!
As always, you may choose any medium with which to interpret this seasonal beauty of the plants preparing for next year.
Large scale or miniature, 2D or 3D, paint, pastel, pen, pencil, your choice.
Your work must include seed-heads or berries, but other than that, free range!!
Unfortunately, I pulled up all my poppies before taking photos of their glorious ‘popping’ seeds, so if anyone has any images to share (of any seeds/berries) please add them to this thread. We cannot, at present, add high resolution images to the RIL and we’re limited by the sizes of files WC! will allow, so I’ve set my images to 100pix. resolution and 600pix. wide.

Our ‘reveal’ date is 25th of the month – please don’t upload before then!:D
On the 25th, or as soon after as possible, please upload your work to this thread.
I hope you enjoy this challenge – and I’ll see you after 6th Sept – until then, I’ll be on holiday!:D
Cheers, Maureen

September 3, 2008 at 8:43 pm #1105636I am intrigued by the post by Lady Carol – – what might that seed pod (cotton) be? Also, piqued my interest in the building with the great pink (tile?) roof. Might we see a pic of the whole building do you think?
