Maureen, that is incredibly intricate and well composed. Outstanding, and very fresh looking. Do you pencil it in first. I would use up half a rubber (eraser) to draw like that.
Here is a last minute submission. This is 11 x 8 on W & N 140CP, watercolor BG and Inktense leaves. The paper seems to lift too easily for my taste, thus some of the BG glazes did not work out well. The colors seems brighter in person, especially the yellows.

C & C encouraged!October 30, 2023 at 6:17 pm #1530940Your last minute leaves was well worth the wait, Joy! Nicely done bg of the out of focus shapes and colors which is as it should be Your leaves stand out and have their pattern spots scattered in a natural way. Purply pink stems are very clear and clean for a complementary color. Beautiful work!!!!!

Joy, that work is incredible! Have faith in yourself …. it’s beautiful!
About mine … no prep drawing at all …. just wet in wet, dancing brushes over very quickly just trying to get reasonable colours where they should be. Leaves built up with loose strokes, rather than drawing and filling. So loose, I needed a bit of pen work at the end.
PS … I still think it’s a mess!
PPS …. will post NOV PP tomorrow ?
Cheers, Maureen
