Susan nice finish on the fire tulips and Judy I love your restful blues , I would never guess .is was on black. Not put brush to canvas on mine since my last post as used my limited painting time to finish my diff strokes piece.
If I’m last and holding up the next paint a long carry on regardless, I’ll catch up when i canPlease excuse my English - it is my first language and therefore i abuse it outrageously

Judy…..That turned out lovely!
These paint-a-longs have been so much fun and a learning experience as well. I hope we can continue doing them:)

Find me on FacebookMarch 30, 2013 at 9:48 am #1197262Hi,
There are some really beautiful paintings here, hopefully my efforts won’t disgrace me too much.
I’ve never painted on black before so should be interesting. It’s on 6*4 inch card, I painted the black using U.Blue and Burnt Umber then did a very rough outline in Titanium White.
I then used the left over White and Blue to fill in the petals and vase; and some sap green for the leaves.
I’d be grateful for any comments/suggestions.
I’m away for the rest of the Easter weekend so won’t be able to finish it off until next week.
March 30, 2013 at 12:19 pm #1197123Welcome Tina.
You’ve made a good start here and I like the base modelling on the vase – good colour too.
Have a nice Easter w/end, and we’ll see the update later:)Cheers, Maureen

Oscar WildeApril 2, 2013 at 11:13 am #1197256I like what you did with your tulips, April. Nice and clean looking as if you meant every stroke. Definitely worth the effort. And good colour and lots of organic texture in the foliage.
