[FONT=Calibri]A couple of years ago, several artists created color charts for oil pastels and posted on WetCanvas – most, if not all are still relevant today. If you are looking for color charts by brand, note the following links:

Don’t forget the Mungyo Artist’s Soft Oil Pastel
Tom did a chart of them at this post:
https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12581852&postcount=110I wonder if there is one for Portfolio or Pentel. I know they are not artist quality, but I use a lot for sketching. Maybe I should make a charts
June 26, 2013 at 3:08 pm #526127Hi RainySea,
Thanks, I didn’t have the Mungyo’s and I use them all the time. Their artist soft oil pastels are wonderful – love them. In my book they rank right up there with Neopastels w/spread ability and color availability.
I’ll add this to the overall list I have. Glad you like the page, thought we could all use it.
June 26, 2013 at 3:15 pm #526126In case anyone is interested at all, I like to use these Portfolio for sketching. They are watersoluble, but I never use them that way. Chart is on regular kids construction paper. The red violet shade is transparent.
June 30, 2013 at 4:34 pm #526124Thanks for reposting these. Just remember that they are not quite accurate.
I think I will sticky this so it stays at the top and doesn’t get lost.Pat

November 28, 2021 at 1:30 pm #1447898So helpful to find the swatches of the Neopastels (actually I found them on Pinterest). I’m comparing them to my Mungyo set which turn out to have almost identical colour names and thought I’d best check if the colours are similar or not before I decide on a few more.
