October 27, 2018 at 6:36 pm #703532Love the self portrait
October 28, 2018 at 4:35 am #703634Like I said, I love Adams’s portraiture. I couldn’t get a model to sit, so you’re all stuck lookin’ at my ugly mug.
This was a really neat challenge, I’m glad I took part. Not 100% happy with this one but it was lots of fun to do.
Its a brilliant portrait.. you should be well proud of yourself.
Painting is a complete distraction. I know of nothing which, without exhausting the body, more entirely absorbs the mind. Winston Churchill

October 30, 2018 at 5:53 pm #703567Lavenderfrost’s ready for Hallowe’en,
She paints a rather creepy scene.
The single man, slow route he paves
As he wanders through the graves.Tuscanny paints a winding road
We travel though forest in dreamy mode.
Looks good close to and from afar.
Will high mountains our progress bar?Fede’s Arctic wolf to cuddle?
His fur is smooth; don’t want to muddle!
He’s vigilant; won’t miss a beat
As he’s determined: prey to eat!Kay paints the lady in the sun.
Is she waiting or is work done?
Is she tense or quite relaxed?
Imagining: my brain is taxed.Colin’s child is bemused
As she is snug in her papoose.
Mother holds her close and tight
All achieved in black and white.Cliff paints a dramatic sky,
Across the scene those clouds fly.
Will it pour or will it shower
On house and pond and conifer bower?Charlie’s Mum used thicks and thins.
Masterly strokes the challenge wins.
The trunks of trees rise tall and white,
Leaves grey and black enhance their might.Vital electronic doodad arrived!
His vase ingeniously derived.
OH finger-dipped each colourless colour
Yet painting sizzles; there is no pallor!SoCalDan takes us to sea.
The waves are high; the yacht runs free.
I’m so glad I’m not on that boat;
I’d rather lay in a pool and float!Merriweather’s woman secures
The baby, peeping as mother tours
The Canyon de Chelle, Arizona.
She looks wise; none will disturb her.Mary’s waterfall all a-quiver
Thunders down the rocky river.
Far away a misty haze
Hides the mountain pathway maze.Imogene’s cliff is oh so high!
Meandering river glimmering by.
Firs delicate brushwork ‘neath the heights
Where strong strokes show the darks and lights.Mayfly paints with atmosphere
The fluffy clouds; no colour there!
The spikey firs grow in those crags
Should we go hunting for bears and stags? His second depicts a towering scene
Rocks stand vertical or lean.
The vastness of the rocks he shows
Where shadows lurk and water flows.Woody’s humour makes us smile.
His painting goes the extra mile.
What is that head appearing white?
It’s inspiration seeking light!Sikirobme, sparkle in his eye,
No detail did the paint deny.
A face intense or full of fun?
The features strong, a good work done.I hope I’ve included everyone?
Well I’ve enjoyed a little fun.
The paintings splendid gave us pleasure
And now we all have work to treasure.Thank you for a great challenge and nice comments.
Through striving, to the stars.
