November 23, 2021 at 1:27 pm #1447425Oh dear! In the whirlwind of a very busy month, I’ve missed so many beautiful artworks for this challenge!
Christel, you’ve done a wonderful job with those cowboys. I love the gesture and motion in their poses. Really nicely done! The chipmunk is so sweet too!
Jo, I love the softness in those delicate pink flowers! So wonderfully done! The Yearlings look so round and happy and content, as cattle tend to look. I love the addition of violets in their black hides. They really pop!
Kay, your doe looks lovely! I love the strong contrast of shadow and sunshine – one of your best strengths in your work is dramatic light. It’s beautiful!
Have a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving everyone!

November 29, 2021 at 10:01 pm #1448023Thanks, Kay. We did have an eating season for Thanksgiving! This little fellow was in Angel Fire a couple of summers ago. We don’t leave food out to tempt bears, but we would put out fruit and veggie scraps to watch the chipmunks and birds and make sure it was gone. In our years up there we had one bear get into the hummingbird feeders and a family of raccoons did the same at a different rental. There is video on YouTube of a bear going into the Resort lobby. Yikes.
