[FONT=Palatino Linotype]Do what you love, love what you do!November 5, 2009 at 11:37 am #505917Mary, I like your nocturne too! Nice work!
I have been busy this week and made it up to 62. I am going to a more realistic look this week and notice my skies are becoming moody! Here are the last 4 I’ve done.

Gouache BlogNovember 5, 2009 at 1:02 pm #505949Gorjus stuff, gals!
I’m catching up, so here’s my week 3…. :o painted today.
This one has a name “November”. I looked out and was “inspired”, especially when the Pans turned to mud on yellowy Tiziano, so I, as it were, went with the *flow*.
7. “November”
Next is sticks on lousy paper demure blue. Had to counter the feeling of November, so I lit the light.
8.
Then I reversed values.
9.
Hope to catch up some more, there are a few more things I want to try.

November 5, 2009 at 4:22 pm #505894Karen, I just visited your blog – congrats, they look great!
Charlie, wow – #8 is fantastic!
November 5, 2009 at 8:55 pm #505955Karen, wow you really movin’ – great work, enjoying all of them
Charlie — another wow — love your experiments — going with the flow.
I hope to post over the weekend — need daylight to photograph —

November 5, 2009 at 8:59 pm #505956Oops, I missed some great ones —
Mary and Tressa — both of yours are great — I really like the monotone pieces —
Deb — wonderful — your ‘pan’ piece is gorgeous — I am so new, I barely know what pans are — but what a fantastic look.

November 5, 2009 at 10:40 pm #505918Wow, you guys are going to town. I have five done but still need to photo them and get them up here. I have finally been well enough to paint as I only had two done when I went into the hospital on the 15th of Oct. unfortunately was not able to paint today as it seems I am coming down with something else:(
Hopefully I can get mine photoed and put up here and hopefully I won’t get too sick with whatever is bugging me. Being on prednisone makes me even more susceptible. I am enjoying looking at everyones though. Great job all of you!Sara
November 6, 2009 at 1:16 am #505903Deborah, Not sure about no.11 probably because I love colour. Love the foreground on No.12. No.13 is intriguing, those broad strokes have such energy – love it.
Tressa the pull of the orange against the neutral is really interesting in this one.
Mary, How different they all look. I like the pink one, very mysterious and the last one.
Karen, Wonderful. Like them all but love the fourth one. You’re really loosening up now.
Charlie, In No.7 love the way you’ve achieved the hint of something better behind the rain. No.8 and 9 are quite psycodelic (sp?), who needs sunshine LOL
I need to play catch-up. Can’t believe the week has already gone.
C&C always wanted and thanks for looking. Marion

November 7, 2009 at 8:19 pm #505968Deborah: I wasn’t able to join for October and I know we are already into November, but if I don’t commit now, it may not happen. I enjoyed the October work, but must admit I’m confused on posting. So, I’m considering Saturday as the end of the week. And it looks like this month everyone is waiting until their commitment is finished and showing all in one post. Is that right? Can someone help me in posting images side by side? Jan

November 7, 2009 at 8:24 pm #505969Sorry, just saw that the October thread says Gallery Format. Where might I find instructions for that? Sorry to be so lame, but I’ve only done single posting here in the past.

November 7, 2009 at 9:32 pm #505932Hi Jan and welcome.
You can find Charlie’s (Colorix) instructions on page 11 of “I challenge you– Variations of a Theme” on how to do a gallery.
I do not have Photo Shop so I followed the instructions in her banner on how to make a signature banner on Gimps and I use that with her template.I am not interested in computers but “where there is a will there is a way” you just need to play around with it.
As I understand we are posting weekly so we do not have multiple threads taking up too much space.
Good luck.

November 8, 2009 at 12:16 am #505970Thank you, Mary. I saw the article in Pastel Journal was immediate engaged, but it was just the wrong time. I’ll be struggling with this month as well, buy I saw the growth and enjoyment of the past few weeks even from those that hadn’t kept to their original schedule. Debrah….I, too, was taken by the first paragraph in the book. I felt like it was written directly to me!! You have all been doing such a terrific job with this challenge! Jan
