I’ve found time to do some painting, so here’s my week:

So–do you think I lost my mind on the last one? (I love it!) It’s Pans on Colourfix Premium. The other two are sticks on buttercup Pastelmat.

Anyway, if I can get all my pix into a gallery I’ll post the whole month to the October gallery thread, but I preferred to paint.

Deborah and Tressa – these are great! Love the 3rd very abstracted version you did, Deborah. I just wish I could see the entire painting without having to pan down my screen.

Tressa – I really like the sense of depth and texture you got with those orange grasses with the blue water.

I’m not sure when I’ll have time to get back on track with the challenge, so I’ll live vicariously through everyone else’s work for the time being!

Deborah, I like all of yours. That last one makes me feel as if I’m running on the track, real sense of speed.
Tressa, love the orange and I love the sky in that one too.
I seem to have lost momentum and have only done one this week so far. Am I right that the week started on 11/1 though so I’ve still got a few days?

One interesting thing I realized, is after the second painting, I haven’t even used my ref pic any more. I misplaced it when I started my 3rd, and so just winged it, and then never used it again after…
I also noticed, like a few others, going for similar color choices, even if they were dif values…hmmm

Four for this week
1 and 2 are on colourfix
I had not tried a nocturne before so that was fun

No 3 was smooth canson and 4 was colourfix primer on an offcut of mat board.
