I’m decluttering and being ruthless. This one was done over 20 years ago of my grandmother’s clock (It came from her father in law, my great grandfather) – high gothic! dark oak and heavily carved.

I don’t remember now if it was oil or acrylic but it’s on heavy cartridge paper. I shall keep this one as it holds memories – the clock had a VERY loud tick and various chimes. It’s still in the family.

The one of the clock is on A1 paper that I’d folded a couple of times and I stood it up in a chair to photograph it – the top is bending and distorting the image a bit.

The sketchbook with details was A3 – a big book.

That clock is so solid! Well done! I know about clocks that tick and chime loudly and having to wind them with a key before going to bed. And sleeping on an air mattress in the room with the loud ticking/chiming clock that sounded every 15 minutes, each time period the chime song grew longer, and at the top of the hour we’d get the entire 4 bar chime song and the bongs counting the hour. I did NOT sleep well. It took a few nights until we were able to figure out how to silence the clock during the night. I bet it was so loud so it could be heard from far away rooms.
