        Yes, Lyn, it was pretty solid. Often ones at this size are wormy so visiting your spots frequently pays off. Nice slabs of white “meat” from this one.

                        Have you heard or eaten ‘chicken of the forest’ mushroom Quint ? It grows on trees, and when fresh you can cut thick slices very tasty. As you say the worminess can be a problem tho

                            Yes, as a forester, I saw them many times and brought home some for eating. Very bright and easy to see.
