Really love the composition! I had to laugh when I read your explanation…I’m not attending a ball because I absolutely hate the idea of having to try on fancy dress and high heels!! So not me Love that face! Just one comment about the lower left corner…maybe a bit bright but hard to tell looking at a screen too.

Love the brilliance of the orange-reds. While I can agree there may be more weighting of it on the left side, the balance seems to work.

As for dresses, I refuse. There is nothing that can’t be done with pants. Pair them up with the right jacket and shoes and you are set, regardless of how formal the occasion.

sheer soulcandy. perfect. i want this, and still object to the head. gripy griperson. there’s a light touch of thought there, and it could be wholly serious. holy serious. the earrings could do the lighter bit at the top. i love the volume of color, the dance of shapes with insanely fiercely perfect hierarchies, and like john, i can’t get enough of the self braiding energy at the low middle. the striping life of the background is the finishing stroke of genious, it would not be the same without that contrast maintaining the movement. this is my favourite of your works.
