This is my oil painting attempt at Monet’s lily pad pond and bridge in France. Dimensions are 11″x14″. Any advice for improving or comments are appreciated before I enter it into any show. Thanks.
It’s a very good painting, although the lighting is darker than Monet’s actual paintings on the Musee’ d’Orsay site. My feeling is that Monet’s paintings of the lake at Givenchy had a wider range of values, and were lighter than your painting.
