“the ideology of the longest art movement in art history, Modernism, collapsed”
Jerry Saltz – Where Art and the Art World are Right Now

Buddhism is over two millennia old
It’s still relevant!

In summary, modern art is not dead but is transformed into what we may now refer to as contemporary art.
November 6, 2023 at 11:44 am #1531676I’m not going to read links, but I’ll read what YOU have to say on the topic. What do you think?

And I agree that philosophy plays a great role here. Art Can’t be perceived the same way. We all are different, we think differently, and we see and understand artworks differently.
I’ve recently looked through the Fine Art America reviews and was surprised at how diverse the opinions about modern art were.

The field of arts created by AI has made great progress In the last couple of years. You just need to write a prompt and voila, you have a great piece of art. AI has already the checkmate in chess and has surpassed humans in many other fields. It may take a while, but it seems AI along with robotics will eventually take over. And I am not talking just about painting, but all kinds of arts.
Below is an example of a movie created by AI.
The prompt:
‘A litter of golden retriever puppies playing in the snow. Their heads pop out of the snow, covered in.’The resulting art work:

I would like to know what do you guys think about that.

For instance, Floyd didn’t die at the hands of the police. He died from the drugs in his body (proven). Anyway, back to the video…..

June 20, 2024 at 1:01 pm #1553925This guy’s useless – worse than useless. His positions in regard to art are based on false narratives so he’s disseminating skewered or perverted information.
But I look forward to finding out what Saltz thinks art really really IS. This should be a hoot.
