EP: very creative !March 26, 2019 at 6:04 pm #790048What an amazing selection of Spikey plants!
Shane – I think I’ve already commented on yours, they are all beautiful!
Christel – Beautiful work on both – Oil Pastels?
Zelda – Beautiful and delicate!
Aha, so it was the root which was eaten. I thought it must have been as the leaves are so tough and don’t even rot down in a compost heap. Interesting to hear there is a Cabbage Tree Festival in Tahiti. I can understand that, as our New Zealand Maori were known to have migrated down to NZ from Tahiti and Hawaii. Very interesting.Imelda – A very lovely watercolor!
Tammy – What a super painting! Is it watercolor or Inks. I love all the riot of flowers and colors!
Margaretta – Beautiful flower. Did you find the name of it? Would you like me to make your Gallery at the end of the month?
Kay – Gorgeous landscape with the Yukka!
How are you enjoying your retirement or are you busier than ever?Ep – Super flower in your own inimitable style!
Wonderful work everyone! And mine – like Christmas – is still coming. Nearly finished it now. I didn’t expect it to take so long. Hopefully will post it later today.

Viv, I love what you have done with your agave plant. I don’t know why but I have never thought of using pen with pastels. Great work.
Tresgato, lovely work on the bird of paradise. The colours and freshness really light it up.
Zelda, I used resist for the vanes, then did the background. I used a spray bottle to get some of the background colour into the petals and then dabbed a bit with a tissue. After removing the resist I went over it again to soften the edges. I used Holbein titanium white watercolour to finish.sanlynn
