The edible part of the cordyline is the root, here in Tahiti, there is still an annual meeting to celebrate and to cook the root, it was an alternative when the food were scarse and the leaves are used for clothing during traditionnal danse .

We first saw these lilies early this year in the Canary Islands. I am trying to find the name. The painting is acrylic and measures 21 x 30 cms. I’ll come back and comment later.:wave:

Shane – you were busy. Love the red spikes on the first one and the reds/yellows on the last one

Christel – well done. Love the dark bg on the second one and the detail you captured on the b-o-p

Zelda – spikes or alien tentacles … feels science fiction-y
