My rendition of “L’Arrivee du Marie,” 1933, presumably a portrait of Klee’s mother, Marie. Acrylic, 8 x 10 on canvas panel, Sharpie black outlines
I’ve used the Klee idea of outlining (which he probably stole from Rauoult) in some of my recent quickies. Here’s one example:
Janet….the staring eyes and the black& white treatment definitely say ‘Fear’. Good illustration for a halloween card too!
Old hobbyist. The black outlines make the work striking and graphic. The breaking apart of the figure … a cubist treatment.
Do you have a liking for cubism in general? Its something that I haven’t really come to terms with yet. :thumbsup:
