Sorry I’m a day late with mine, we were under storm and tornado watches all day, didn’t have my big computer plugged in.
This one is a lino cut print on a brusho background, 5×7 inches. Brusho is a kind of watercolor powder, it’s really bright. I don’t think the photo does it justice. The bits and dabs of ink are intentional.
This one is a doodling eternal dragon, I’m going to put a poem on him when I’m done. I’m not done yet, I’m slowly filling this up as I watch TV. It’s just pen.

I looked it up Bill. According to wikipedia, “Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for a relief surface.” So you weren’t far off lol.

Every painting is a new adventure.Yup, that’s pretty much it. It’s a lino tile that I drew on then carved and printed almost like a stamp.
Christel, the doodling one is a regular piece of 11 x 8.5 printer paper, it’s just for practice.

I like the idea of doing a lino cut like that but you have to think backward to do the cutout. I have enough trouble thinking forward!

Your “doodling” is more than that, I love the knot design and the face of the dragon. All the little creatures and details around it are amazing. I hope you will post again when you are finished with it I’m curious what you will do with it.

How frustrating, Bill! Hope it settles down for you.
Dianna, I cheat and draw it normally then reverse it on the computer! Before computers, I used to use carbon paper to trace it onto the back of the drawing which gives you the reverse image. My mom did a lot of typing, she used to get so annoyed at us for taking all her carbon paper.
