Susie – cute interaction between them. Lovely!
Dianna – Jummy! So even dragons eat ice cream. Lovely! Great work on your pterodactyl!
Thanks for the lovely comments on mine.Christel
June 21, 2018 at 9:11 am #633114I love Christel’s art of walking a Tegu lizard of remarkable size….Susie’s dragon looks dutifully embarrassed about his faux pas….Dianne’s “Fire and Ice Cream” is witty and cute and her second ones are classic in style…wings and all.
June 21, 2018 at 9:15 am #633115I painted a WYVERN…it’s kind of a dragon. This was inspired by the stop motion one at the finish of JACK THE GIANT KILLER except my painting in acrylics is a little less rubbery than the model in the movie. Same idea, though.
June 21, 2018 at 10:00 am #633038Woody what a marvelous mash up on that creature. Hyena head, Bird of prey body, (nice feathers) a snake tail and lovey purple-red bat wings.
Cool combos and very well done.

That’s really cute Susie, great expressions!
Dianna, the dragon with the ice cream is adorable. And you made very good use of the glazing technique on the other one.
Woody, very good attention to detail.
I hope I’ll get something done before the month is over.
C&C always welcome. Michelle

Thanks…I started with a basic sketch and then went to town with the python reference for the tail…maybe it’s a boa, I don’t remember. There is a lot of detail on the tail and I sort of cartooned the rest of it out.:)

Thanks Michelle….it’s a monster of sorts so I was “in my wheel house” as they say…..
June 21, 2018 at 11:24 am #633097Susie: Cute and amusing, too
Christel: Lovely little cold-drake, great concept
Dianna: Ice-cream dragon is cute, “The Last One” very mythic.

June 21, 2018 at 11:29 am #633098Here’s mine: I found out long ago, in Fletcher Pratt’s The Incompleat Enchanter, that dragons were considered (in China) to be bringers of rain. So, here’s mine:

June 21, 2018 at 2:21 pm #633099Thanks, Woody. I won’t post it on the CP Forum because all they will do is complain about the lack of darks, but I wanted this nice and misty

June 21, 2018 at 9:54 pm #633039Attalus I like Chinese Dragons no wings but the still get around, isn’t magic grand? Nice face on this one and yes you did do a lot of scales.
Pieter nice to see you back here.
Great drawings, I really like the personalities of the characters.
Between the dragon making a BBQ and the divvying the dragon up I wonder are you a bit peckish?
