I am very fond of Wyverns since I started playing Baldur’s Gate where they have you fight ’em cause you’re not ready yet for “real” dragons. I once drew a “dragon” with just its hind legs and Susie told me it was a wyvern. Live and learn :wink2:

I think the classifications of Dragons are a little restrictive.
Dragons, Wyverns and Oriental Dragons all work.

Or any other type of Dragon you can dream up.

Two legs, four legs, wings or no wings, if it’s Dragon to you that’s all that counts.

I love the Dragon World’s illustrations by Joseph Zucker.

My favorite dragon is the medieval style ones. I’ve also always liked the stained glass windows of St George and the Dragon that are fairly common in churches.

I like those also, although the dragons always look a little underwhelming.

But then again even a dragon that size would be a battle.

Well, as I understand it, the medievals (like the ancient Egyptians used “hierarchy of scale,” in some cases (but not universally) to show the most important figures (like the saints) larger than the demons they faced. That includes the dragons, of course.

Mine and Susie’s are both done. Me, I’m opting out of the Acrylics challenge this month. I know how to do a monochrome underpainting, but of what? A flower? Sorry, I’m sure they’ll do just fine without me. :clear:

I got my acrylics challenge one done and the one for here almost done just a few little things left on it.
I decided I liked the glazing and I’m going to try another one…..
yes a Dragon…that way I get to post it in both challenges. :smug:

On a different subject Face Off is back, they say the final season.
I did like that show it was interesting.
They are calling this one an “All Star Season” I don’t see that as these were all losers on previous seasons.
If they wanted to do an “All Star Season” they should have gotten as many winners as they could to do the finial season with the best of the best it would have made for a great finial season.
Plus it would be nice to see what they have done since winning.
