June 19, 2019 at 9:05 pm #834062Thanks, I think it’s all the pollen in the air. I did the roses too, I’ll have to upload it tomorrow though. I’m watching that show “Guys Grocery Games”. I love to cook and it makes me laugh.

My daughter started getting migraines too.
I hope it isn’t the barometer though. And I hope it clears up ASAP for you Virginia.Lil, nice job on the couple.
Dan, that is a fun and whimsical raccoon.
Kay, your flowers look fab!
Virginia your landscapes look awesome too.~Christine
??June 20, 2019 at 10:06 am #834069Morning Virginia, have been reading the posts and sorry that you have been having those headaches, hope they clear up soon. The weather has been just awful over here, too many rainy damp days plus humidity which I hate. It seems to be happening everywhere but worse for those living in the south. Looking forward to next month’s challenges.

it has been raining for a couple days now, close to 2-3 inches I think

June 22, 2019 at 8:30 pm #834063Bonnie, that’s gorgeous, what a great challenge too. You captured that sort of bright shadowy light that the birds are in under the tree perfectly.
It’s funny, I did actually draw my birds and normally I don’t draw with pencil on paintings at all.
I saw that flooding, we have a pair of sandhill cranes with babies (they’re called colts) in a corn field around the corner from me. The colts are so cute and fuzzy. It’s rare to see two. Usually they have one at a time. There are also carp swimming in the corn fields, they are getting fat off the old corn.
I took this photo from a long way a ways, didn’t want to disturb them. That water in the back is normally a corn field. and the river is normally on the other side of the trees in the back part (that dark strip), it’s about a mile and a bit from where it should be.
I also did the roses in acrylic, this is ATC sized (2.5 by 3.5 inches) on one of those little stretched canvases you can buy. I did this pretty quickly, I should have taken more time, really. It’s a bad habit of mine.
Bonnie, this one had no drawing, I painted the outline in a sienna green mix first though.

Virginia, that’s a fun photo of the cranes and colts. Although we get them migrating thru here I’ve never seen any youngsters at all. Your roses are nicely done on the tiny canvas.
