July 6, 2018 at 8:51 am #649031Nice job Tyree. I love the composition, the colours and the overall technique.
As long as there is light, I will paint it.
July 6, 2018 at 9:31 am #648987Tyree, like the watercolor look and the composition. You captured the attentive look on the horse.

On Wikipedia it says it was named for Rio Ruidoso that goes through town. Noisy River.
It is a fun place to visit in the mountains. Kay may know more historic tales.
I sketched in my big coffee table book with a Prismacolor 08. Just a quick sketch, no time to paint.

July 6, 2018 at 1:50 pm #649038Thank you, Jo.
I imagined it had to do with noisy (ruidoso means noisy in portuguese and spanish), but didn’t know about the river.:)

July 6, 2018 at 8:45 pm #649003Tyree, this is dramatic and beautiful! I love the looseness of the forms and the rich colors. Awesome style!
Jo, I love how, with just crisp, skillful lines, you portray a whole picture, a whole story. This is wonderful!

July 7, 2018 at 10:27 am #648979That is what Ruidoso means. The river is noisy.
