Kathy, congratulations on being rewarded for all your hard work and perseverance. No need to apologize. I, for one, am happy to hear of others’ successes. It makes me want to not give up.
February 10, 2013 at 3:11 pm #490422Greetings neighbors! I haven’t been on for quite a while….as in years! Decided I would make time to hook back up here! I design jewelry and wearable art via every medium you can imagine. I play all over the board and sometimes simultaneously! I have a shop over at Artfire and I sometimes host talk shows with independent artists of jewelry and wearable art at JEWELRY CONNECTION
My most recent work is of french beaded Bougainvillea in a vintage style cuff bracelet!
March 27, 2014 at 12:06 am #490723I love beads of all types. Got it from my mom who makes and sells necklaces. She has a knack at making things look good. I just love looking at them and had a hard time deciding what beads to put together. When my creations left a lot to be desired. That is one of the reasons I made an online program to put beads on and experiment with. I’m hoping to make jewelry design easy and fun.

November 4, 2018 at 1:26 am #491003Hello to artisans!
I create the clothing of which your jewels shine upon.I can look at a sketch of a dress and know if it will stay up…or not. lol.
I make patterns old school, before CAD! Then I sew it. I love silks and
my fave fave fave, is silk taffeta from Japan in gorgeous off white glimmering glowing color, in 25meter rolls.I also dye with Dharma Dyes super textile colors and lots ofhelp from them.
I dyed tons of silk chiffon hanging in my barn with flames of blue fire coming up from the hem and fading out above the knee. I think I might have a picture of that somewhere, now I have the incentive to dig through about 20K imgs all tossed into files without names.I am going to try to post a pic here of my newest garment. If I can’t get it, I will keep trying. I wore this jacket recently up to Allouez wayyyyyyyy up in Northern Michigan way out into Lake Superior, to Copper Harbor sightseeing. Well, I dont have a pic of that.
Can someone advise me please if this is a good forum to post about my garments?
Be back soon…., and I am DYIN looking at everyones DELICIOUS BEAUTIFUL and such creative jewelry. I am floored at such skill.

SheriI Hate bodily functions! :o They are such time wasters and interfere with what I am doing.
January 1, 2019 at 12:52 pm #491001Oh gosh! I do hope this section is still up and running. It would be great to participate with other creators of wearable art. I’m into making silver jewellery, very much an amateur but enjoy it immensely. Mostly made rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces in silver.
I also enjoy sewing, making tops and dresses.
My other love is for crochet. Mostly I crochet blankets, scarves and hats. I find it very relaxing and therapeutic.
Any other makers out there?

Really love this little outfit, Sheri and I’m fascinated by your use of dyes on silk. Hope you’re still hanging around this forum. Most of the posts seem rather old.

January 4, 2019 at 11:18 pm #490735This is a pretty quiet forum but there is a lot of older threads that are pretty interesting. We also have a fiber arts forum for crochet and such.
Sheri, that’s gorgeous!

Find me on FacebookApril 7, 2019 at 3:07 am #491004Hi! I’m Heather. I do T shirts, mostly Celtic knotwork, and a little jewelry using my polymer clay beads. Lately I have started doing dot paintings. I sell something once in a while, but usually just give things I make away for holiday and birthday presents.
I guess you could say I’ve had classes all my life, since my mother was an art teacher! I did a lot of crafts with her, especially around the holidays.
I’m strictly an amateur, but would be completely lost without a chance to do art and craft things.
I posted a couple of my Celtic t shirts under “Celtic t shirts” yesterday.
June 22, 2020 at 1:42 am #1301514I like handicrafts. I saw a lot of accessories videoes for making pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets on the Internet. It feels simple and incredibly magical!
July 19, 2020 at 2:43 pm #1314275I am a former carpenter that has downsized hammers from a six pound sledge to a ounce and one half ball pein.
Have learned I can hammer coins till they become something different.

I started doing this not so long ago, after I was presented with a handmade necklace, see here https://www.lorastreasures.com/collections/handmade-jewelry-sets . And since then, my passion has been the creation of beaded jewelry that looks especially delicate on the neck in the form of openwork lace. Nothing beats what you have done with your own hands.
November 30, 2021 at 7:40 am #1448068There are so many different cool jewelry in this thread. Guys, you are real craftsmen!
By the way, I recently tried to find suppliers of wholesale jewelry for my store. To be honest, I have never taken more time to find something. Fortunately, I was lucky and found this wholesale fashion jewelry supplier: JewelryBund.
The quality of the products is at the highest level, and the prices are quite adequate. I advise you to take a closer look!ABOBA
