This is an update. I’ve begun to fill in the egg yolk now. I’m not happy with the highlight which seems to say “B”, but then the real highlight really looks kinda like that too…I’ll work on it.

its starting to take shape now, I have to agree on the b highlight, I think it is too much like a B I think the bottom dot in the highlight needs to be lighter and there are a few more little marks in there as well. But you have made a good start on this even with all the disturbance from a certain person

Looks good, start to concentrate on “shape” don’t worry about the details just yet. Get the values in on the Yoke to give it “roundness” and “form.” Worry about the highlight later. Once you start to see it take shape, it is a whole new game. A little trick I learned is to look at your image and blur or squint your eyes. This helps you to see shape. In my case I just remove my glasses!

An update, finally getting somewhere. Not sure where, but somewhere…

After taking this pic, I realized that this egg yolk is too even and too round. This will be corrected. But, here’s my work thus far…Critique away!
