Hi everybody, after a while working on another project I am finally back to graphite drawing.

The piece below is about 12×9 inches and I’m working on it from life.

There is still a lot of work to do before I call it finished. I will be posting an update soon. Thanks for looking.

Due to a personal problem I had to put this work on hold for a long time. There are still a lot of adjustments to be done and many mistakes to be corrected. I will post a photo of the end result when I finish it. Please, let me know what you think.

Well drawn, showing real good observation of values.  Tricky how the light changes in different sittings.  Sometimes the values in the drawing need to be adjusted for the drawings sake regardless of the changes in lighting.

– Patrick, yes, sometimes there are some small steps in the drawing process where it’s better to draw what one knows rather than what one sees.

It is not finished yet. Not much progress since my last post. I have been going through some troubles this year that have not allowed me to dedicate much time to my art studies. From now on I will start drawing and painting more often and will continue to post the results here. Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas to everyone.
