Hey all!
Happy to be back behind the easel today! With this piece I wanted to pay tribute to our resident fox that hangs around our property in the forest that my lovely bride has lovingly nicknamed Foxy Loxy. It is my first time ever experimenting with acrylics and it definitely is different that my usual oils. Not bad by any means, but totally a different experience in handling!
Anyhow, I started out with a vision and it is very much along the lines of what I was seeing in my head apart from initially thinking I was going to be a bit more “substantial” with the paint, but as I started getting into it, I think I am actually more pleased with the openness of the canvas as it sits and I almost feel like I could easily stop now, hence the question marks in the title after WIP. I am not quite sure though so I would really love all your thoughts on it! C&C away please, nothing is off the table…

Ofcourse you have natural born skill with the colour Sir !:) How awesome a vision mind it is hard to get that across on a 2 d surface in the real world but you did a mighty fine job there feels to be all the good things present movement spirit rhythm etc etc etc. Regards wip? if it were me I would leave as is and do further studies from it and work on how to get across the vision more ie ie and study the elements needed visualy to get that understood with no shadow of a doubt. Also you should be teaching us here in the group here a thing or two as you just knock it out of the park with your work here and you are beginning you say

The orangie/red in the middle represents the fox and the colour swatches around the canvas represent the forest bits and snow reflections etc…

I was sure I replied earlier but the message seems to be moved. I meant to say there was something else I was never able to see, which is the popular Magic Eye pictures. No matter how long I look at these, I have never been able to see the hidden image-
