        20 x 16 canvas board from a reference photo.

Not quite finished. Another hour when I can fit it in should see this finished once I’ve defined some of the water splashes more.

Water is hard! But I have enjoyed the process.

        C&C welcome.

Interesting! Looks like one of those no-sensory tanks. Nice work! Looking forward to seeing it finished.

I think your water is already really good!

                Cheers, Maureen

PunkGuy, this is fantastic – your water looks real!! And I love the face.

Since you asked for C&C, I would mention that the top edge of the upper lip is completely outlined; the rest of the painting does not have this feature, and so the upper lip looks flat and pasted-on, since it’s inconsistent with the other areas of the painting. You can soften that top line in some places, and it will look like a more natural top ridge of that upper lip. You did wonderfully defining the nose, with only a couple of small suggestions of a line for definition, and can do the same with the upper lip.

                            Thank you all.

That is really useful feedback Cathy, thank you. It highlights for me a mistake that I think I make regularly. Point taken on board and will add that to the list of tiny jobs still required.

                                A very striking painting.

So, I showed the girlfiend, who is generally accepted to be my harshest and most honest critic.

                                        10 second look over it…..

“It’s okay but I wouldn’t have it on the wall. And what’s going on with that eyebrow floating out of the water?”

                                        😂🙂🙄🤨🤔
